When you call us for an electrical emergency, we'll talk you through immediate safety steps over the phone — usually isolating the affected circuit at the switchboard or turning off the main switch if needed. We then attend as quickly as possible to diagnose the issue, make the situation safe, and carry out the necessary repair. We charge a call-out fee plus an hourly rate, and we'll always discuss costs with you before starting any work beyond making the situation safe.

Common emergencies we attend include total power loss (when the network is fine but your home has no power), safety switches that won't reset, burning smells from switchboards or power points, sparking outlets, storm damage to overhead service lines, and hot water system failures in winter. We carry a comprehensive range of parts and can resolve most emergency situations on the first visit. If follow-up work is needed — like a full switchboard replacement after an emergency repair — we'll schedule that separately and provide a quote. We attend emergencies across Greater Hobart, from Kingston to Bridgewater and across the Eastern Shore.
